The Exante Diet - Part 2

Sorry it has taken me so long to post, it’s been a busy few weeks! Having spent the past 4 months in London on secondment, I’ve just moved back to Cheltenham and my normal job, which has meant a whirlwind of catching up with friends, and getting ready for the BF’s birthday yesterday. To celebrate, I’m currently sat in a spa following a massage (apologies!), so thought it was about time I reach out to you wonderful followers. I promise there are many a review to come, as I have been eating out a lot, at some AMAZING Cheltenham based eateries, so there is much to look forward to.

Following on from the main meals, it was time to try the desserts. I started off with the maple syrup pancakes. Interestingly, these are a powder, which when added to water look exactly like a normal pancake mix, but with the delicious scent of maple syrup. I found my mouth watering, wanting to add bacon but of course that would totally defeat the object! They were quick and simple to make, and tasted just like regular pancakes, with a little sugary flavour. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not quite the same as if you were to add lemon and sugar, or Nutella, but they are a welcome option to me in the healthy eating world, something I would most certainly try again if I were on a diet.

The other dessert was my favourite, a salted caramel gooey pudding, something I would jump at in a restaurant. This was even easier to make, pop it in a small bowl then microwave for 3-5 minutes depending on the texture you were aiming for. I slightly over did it, but nevertheless it was fun of sweetness and the texture was pretty good.

I think I’ve decided that should I decide to go on a food supplement diet, i’ll be eating puddings full time – not sure how healthy that would be!
